James A. Hudson is a Bristol-based photographer having previously lived and worked in London, Oxford and Oslo. He undertakes personal and commissioned photography projects inspired by literature and history that consist of sequences of images, shot on location on B&W film. His practice is rooted in documentary photography but does not always pertain to be journalistic or objective. Artist in residence at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford in 2010-11, he produces books and digital publications and his photography has featured in a range of exhibitions, festivals, and printed and digital publications. With 20+ years experience, he is DBS checked, insured and regularly works closely with people from all sectors of the community.
